Uttarakhand bound the state on the southeast, Tibet on the east, Punjab on the west and southwest, Haryana on the south and Jammu & Kashmir on the north. It is situated in the northwest corner of India right in the lap of the Himalayas. |
Major Valleys of Himachal Pradesh: Kangra Valley: Nurpur to Baijnath. Pattan Valley: After Tandi (where Chandra &Bhaga merge) to Thirot. Spiti Valley: Starts after Kunzum pass and continues until Spiti River meets Satluj at Khab. Balh Valley: Gutkar to Sundernagar. Kunihar Valley: KuniKhad to Tukardia village in Solan. Rohru/Pabbar Valley: From Hatkoti to Tikri village in foothills of Chansal. Baspa/Sangla Valley: Starts at Chtikul until Karcham (where Baspa meets Satluj). Paonta Valley: Also known as Kiarda Dun. Dun &Saproon Valley: Solan. Ravi/Chamba Valley: Along valley plains of Ravi &Chamba. |
